Congratulations, Ben and Mary!
What a fun wedding...and what a fun wedding party! (I've never seen so many jazz hands in all my life!
)Ben and Mary got married Friday, Oct. 2nd in Fargo, ND. Here's a sneak peek of their images!.............and the ushers take a flying LEAP!
The hilarious best man sweeps Ben off his feet.
The bridesmaids wore these adorable flats! So incredibly cute AND comfortable!
Mary requested that the parents each have their own portrait. What a good idea! Brides, take notes.

Gotta love a groom that signs his own guest book!!!!!
And a bride and groom that puts a Sudoku on the back of their ceremony programs!
And a bride and groom that put rubik's cubes on their reception tables! Although... now I'm getting ahead of myself.
Best wishes from me, too! Thanks for inviting me into your day. I enjoyed every minute of it! Your disc will be done and mailed to you sometime next week.

Kylie!
Last Thursday Kylie came to town for a senior session! She brought a couple main outfits...but one of them was a little extra special. Her mom sewed (!!!) her a 1950's dress, from an vintage pattern no less! I enjoy this first photo especially because it has the name of my town in it!
(There's one for the website, eh?)Kylie also brought along an awesome hat, bought off etsy.com which we used for a number of the shots. I don't typically photograph people in vintage-wear, so it was a very FUN challenge. She did an awesome job pulling together her look.
We met up at our train station downtown and quickly shot up almost 500 shots of her in this outfit. Which is why you'll see a few more shots than normal in this senior sneak peek.
Enjoy!And........fast forward a few decades in clothing...

One shot in her third outfit...but it was prrrrrrrrrrrretty dark by then.

Thanks for all the fun, Kylie! (And thanks to sister Katie for all her amazing help.
) Have an awesome senior year! Your disc will be sent out to you in 1-2 weeks!

Kathryn!
Getting caught up on my blogging, here! This is Kathryn...a delightful girl I met last Thursday. We did a large portion of her photo shoot at Sucker Creek Preserve here in Detroit Lakes. I have photographed people there before, but never so in depth with a senior as I did with Kathryn. LOVED IT! And the backdrop of the golden sun and natrual environment was the perfect thing for her personality. She was just so fun to photograph! Kathryn, (and Allison, your mom) thanks for being so awesome that evening and for waiting patiently for this sneak peek!! Your photos will be done and mailed to you within the next couple weeks.

Billy and Becky | 9.12.09
Billy and Becky were married in Wolf Lake, MN on September 12th! The wedding was held at a beautiful country church outside of the tiny village of Wolf Lake... the roads out there are so infrequently used we were able to use them for a lot of portraits. And we even got some fall colors and leaves! Billy and Becky's love and respect for eachother was very evident throughout the day, it was delightful. And Becky was just about the sweetest bride you can imagine!
Since they were the second of two weddings in a weekend for me, they had to be a little more patient in waiting for this sneak peek... I hope it was worth the wait! Enjoy these photos!
Getting ready in the morning! Becky needed her mom's help to decide which earrings to wear.

Her groom, waiting.
They thought I was taking a picture of their hands. But I caught him looking at her...he is in love, let me tell ya. And for good reason!
STUNNING dress from Allen Evan's Bridal
Love this series.
Having a little fun on the country roads!
The bridesmaids took a flower arranging class together and made their own silk bouquets! Isn't that neat?
Becky and her two sisters, Heidi and Katie.
Groom's Family
Bride's Family (I have this in color, too... but I just thought it was so cute in BW)
The bride and her mom

I had some extra time, so I experimented a bit with different composition/lighting setups for her bouquet and shoes. Thought I'd post a few just for the fun of it.

I hope you enjoyed these, Billy and Becky! Your photos are almost done and will be sent out to you hopefully by the end of the week!

Brad and Krystal!
Last weekend I had both a Friday and Saturday wedding. In this post I will share some pics from Friday! Brad and Krystal were the couple of the day, married in Wadena, MN. We were a little nervous about rain, but it held off and we were able to go to Black's Grove for a bride and groom photoshoot. I consider myself very fortunate, because almost all my bride and grooms have given me plenty of time to photograph JUST them. I always tell them that if those pictures are the most important, make time for them! They are the ones you'll hang around your house, after all!
So, without further ado, Brad and Krystal! Krystal had a special, private first dance with her father and groom before anyone else saw her! It was a surprise to both of them, and very sweet. She had an ipod hooked up to some speakers and invited them to dance with her to special songs she had picked out. Very sweet. And her daddy went first...

And then Brad...
On to some portraits!
Bouquet fun!
Yes, she was wearing flip-flops earlier, but these were the REAL wedding shoes.

Brad and Krystal, thanks for inviting me into your day! Your disc will be in the mail to you sometime the next couple weeks.
Next up, Billy and Becky... last Saturday's wedding!
